Chess

Using the metaphor of a game of chess, the short film depicts the failure of its protagonist, whose voiceover guides the viewer through a journey of ambition and disillusionment. In true Fellini spirit, the story eschews any self-indulgence in favour of a melancholic irony: defeat is not a tragedy, but the human condition itself, experienced with the detached lightness of someone who can laugh at their own limitations even in the face of checkmate.
