Fellini fra le righe

The project, developed under the supervision of Christian Angeli between January and June 2025, is structured as a field investigation aimed at tracing, and in some cases recovering, traces of Federico Fellini’s presence in the memory of ordinary people. The activity took place in Rome and involved a group of authors engaged in observation and the collection of elements related to shared memory.

The narrative is constructed as a survey of the forms of persistence and dissolution of Fellini’s imagery within collective consciousness. Between oblivion, vague or imperfect reminiscences, and memories both retained and unexpected, the project explores the possibility and impossibility of preserving indefinitely the myth of the “dolce vita” within collective memory, accepting both its disappearance and its self-preservation.

The authors of the documentary, Serena Lazzaro, Tommaso Banti, Luca Cavalli, Carlotta Venturini, Marco Di Filippo, Anna Matilde Lamberti and Ludovica Bosica, all graduates in 2025 from RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts, developed the work through a shared approach based on field research and documentary practice.
