Bacchanus 1

Starting from the concept of the garment as a ritual tool to pay homage to the Dionysian values of pleasure and harmony with nature, the collection draws inspiration from the biomimicry and customs of European field rituals, taking up their cuts. The garments are revisited with natural or reclaimed materials, such as recycled furs and animal-looking fabrics. Irregular textures of mushrooms, barks and rocks are evoked through crumpled and pleated workings, while patterns are created using photos of molds and mycelia. Decorating the garments are collars and paramontures imitating fig and ivy leaves, complemented by handmade collages made from fabric scraps.
