C’era una volta una tovaglia

“C’era una volta una tovaglia” is among the finalist projects in the GTA Contest created by Vittoria Beconcini, a student at Istituto Modartech.

His collection takes shape by interweaving fashion, sustainability and childlike imagination: recycled fabrics such as tablecloths, sheets and blankets become garments ready to tell a new story through childlike storytelling.

The embroideries, inspired by the book “Storia di una maglietta” by Matteo Ward in collaboration with FAO, have been reinterpreted by the creative hand of children. The playful details bring us back to the world of childhood, reminding us that fashion can be creative, fun and at the same time responsible.
