Corpo d’arredo

Project

Design

GTA Contest finalist project by Claudia Esposito, IUAD Naples student.

Inspired by the Rococo, a time when the clothed body merged with the environment and became part of the décor, Claudia Esposito reinterprets the relationship between fashion and interior design as an aesthetic continuum.

The collection narrates Made in Italy as a synthesis of tailoring and craftsmanship. The proposed garment – a corset inspired by a furniture lamp, combined with a shorts and a hood made of assembled cushions – transforms domestic objects into wearable structures.

In this vision, the everyday becomes poetry: a lampshade or a pillow becomes poetic matter.
“Corpo d’arredo” thus reveals the discreet beauty of being, transforming the body into narrative space, a symbol of an everyday elegance that needs no artifice to be memorable.
