8 1⁄2 is that chaos?

The young designers of Laba Florence present their men’s/women’s collections at the Cartiere Carrara Theater. Organza roses, strings of pearls, extra-large quilts and patchwork denim garments characterize the fashion show marking the conclusion of the academic year, attracting more than 1,000 people. The theme of the fashion show, which marks the beginning of the AFAM Grand Tour, is inspired by Federico Fellini’s film “8 1/2,” guiding the creativity of the students, who explore the concept of chaos through elegant and street style garments, pinstripe fabrics and oversize garments, oriental lace and Parisian lines.

The entire show is accompanied by live music inspired by Fellini, creating an atmosphere of contrasts between melancholy and anguished emotions and explosive creative energy. Each garment is handmade by the students, under the artistic direction of Manuel Ventroni and Cristina Cacioli.
