Still me

“Still Me” is a GTA contest finalist project by Misbah Bonci, a student at Modartech Institute.

Her collection was born as an ode to strength and awareness. Inspired by the tribes of the Omo Valley in Ethiopia-where scars become signs of beauty, belonging and protection-the design transforms pain into elegance, vulnerability into power.

Scars, physical or emotional, are not something to hide-they are what makes us authentic. Like the black dandies, figures who were able to assert identity and style beyond the wounds of history, Still Me celebrates the ability to show oneself proud, refined, and true, despite everything.
