Grand Tour AFAM: an international project to promote Italian culture and creativity

Promoting the role of AFAM institutions abroad in preserving and enhancing Italian culture and lifestyle through a program of activities focused on Italian creativity is the goal of the AFAM Grand Tour, a project coordinated by RUFA involving 16 partners including 14 AFAM institutions and 2 public institutions.

Grand Tour AFAM is developed over a 24-month period and is divided into two phases, “Creating in Italy” and “Networking.”

The “Creating in Italy” phase involves creative research and production in Italy during the first 12 months of the project and involves students, teachers, researchers and international experts to carry out a series of events in different Italian cities and discover the best artistic and cultural realities of the peninsula.

The “Networking” phase is held abroad over the next 12 months and includes an international contest for students from AFAM institutions and a road-show of AFAM institutions abroad. The contest offers students the opportunity to represent Italy, its beauty and aesthetics. The road-show includes a series of events dedicated to the international network, including performances, exhibitions and residencies for young artists.

The GRAND TOUR AFAM project, to rival the Directorial Decree 124/2023 of the Ministry of University and Research, INTAFAM 00029, CUP I83B24000030006, aims to enhance the Afam network and promote its internationalization through the activation of experiences, activities, communication, dissemination, awareness, teaching, research and artistic production programs aimed at the preservation and promotion of Italian culture and made in Italy. The intervention is aimed at promoting awareness of cultural, artistic, musical and dance heritage, as well as ensuring the best conditions for its public use and enjoyment, increasing its attractiveness and international profile.
